There was a time when Gurukul –Where students were regularly in touch with their teacher (Guru) until felt satisfied with the outcome of the disciple. But the times were changed. In the present education system, the more standard of an educational institute, the more idle and resource dependent students are. Due to certain reasons many students don’t opt India for their further advance education: Lack of top quality programs offered by Indian Colleges ,poor quality of teachers, outdated syllabus taught in most of the colleges etc. Reform should begin with schools. Schools play a vital role in shaping a person’s social and professional growth. Focus should be on skill based education. Indian education framework needs to be changed completely.

Education is the founding stone of a country’s economy. A country that fails to provide its citizens the right to education lags behind in every way.
When we analyze the present education system of India, we tend to switch back to the history of Indian education; It had its roots to the ancient ages where the Gurukul system was followed- a system where the students resided in the house of their teacher until the teacher felt that he has imparted all that he could. However, this was changed during the colonial era when the British set up schools that followed a curriculum confined to particular subjects such as Mathematics, science etc.
