Abstract

Education is a basic necessity of a person’s life. Without education an individual is like a person with no aim and teacher is a primary element of delivering an education to the students. But without professional ethics the process of transferring education from teachers towards students is incomplete because without a moral character build up no subject can deliver a qualitative knowledge. In India, professional ethics are showing a sign of decline. Nowadays, teachers are lacking in responsibility taking, accountability, awareness and risk taking qualities which adversely affect their image as well as personality of their students. There is a need to develop ethics in teachers like optimism, experimenting nature, analytical like qualities among teachers so to develop a sound student force for the country.
